Terry Johnson’s award-winning and painfully funny play comes to The Epstein for a limited run.
Let us take you back to April 1992. Eleanor desperately wants a child but her unwilling husband, Richard is too busy running the Dead Funny Society to care. In the week when British comedy heroes Frankie Howerd and Benny Hill both kick the bucket, the society gather for an evening of celebration which promises to be full of laughter. The couple are joined by Nick and Lisa and their old friend, Brian but as the drinks and innuendos flow, life changing secrets are revealed and a whole host of skeletons are let out of the cupboard, meaning that life for the fivesome will never be the same again.
Complete with custard pie fights, risqué moments and tributes to some of Britain’s greatest comedians, Dead Funny will make you laugh and cry.
So come along and see the funny side!
