Long Island hip hop innovators De La Soul return to Manchester for one night only in the stunning surroundings of the Albert Hall!
Celebrating 30 years of breaking new ground, this is De La Soul’s first Manchester show since 2014. The trio, made up of rappers/producers Posdnuos, Dave and Maseo, have been at the forefront of hip hop culture since their seminal debut album 3 Feet High and Rising was released in 1989 to widespread critical acclaim.
De La Soul further cemented their reputation as hip hop’s forward thinkers with their 1991 sophomore album De La Soul is Dead. This year saw the release of their crowdfunded ninth studio album ‘And the Anonymous Nobody’, featuring collaborations with Jill Scott, Snoop Dogg, Pete Rock, David Byrne and Damon Albarn.
Having influenced the current generation of hip hop artists with their ingenious sampling and eccentric lyrics, De La Soul’s Manchester show will be one of the stand-out dates on the 2017 music calendar.
