Today sees teen prodigy Dave return with enthralling new track ‘Question Time’ from his highly-anticipated sophomore EP ‘Game Over’, out this Nov 3rd. A perfect illustrationof the social commentary and intelligent wordplay that Dave has become synonymous with since he burst onto the scene in early 2016, ‘Question Time’ finds the 19-year-old addressing social issues from NHS budget cuts to Grenfell Tower, the war in Syria and Brexit, with production from long-term collaborator Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Stormzy, Kano). The impactful visuals were directed by Nathan James Tettey & Dave, which you can watch HERE.
Dave has spent 2017 thus far displaying his impressive versatility across a number of stand-alone tracks. ‘Question Time’ follows recent releases ‘Tequila’, ‘100Ms’, ‘Revenge’, and J Hus collaboration ‘Samantha’, with this video alone racking up nearly 28 million views to date. ‘Question Time’ is the first track to be unveiled from Dave’s highly anticipated sophomore ‘Game Over’ EP, set for release on Friday 3rd November. Having left a lasting mark on the UK urban scene with the release of his debut ‘Six Paths’ EP last September (which debuted at #6 on the iTunes album chart & #1 on the iTunes Hip-Hop chart), Dave has spent this year consolidating his position as one of the most exciting talents this country has seen in a long time. In the space of twelve short months, he’s toured North America with AJ Tracey, made appearances on releases from the likes of Drake and Giggs, covered CRACK Magazine and stopped by ‘Later… with Jools Holland’ for his debut television appearance. After a slew of show-stopping festival sets at the likes of Glastonbury, Wireless, Melt, Latitude and Reading this summer, the stage is now set for Dave to cement his reputation as THE British artist to watch.
