As part of their final Showcase level 6 students on the Theatre, Television and Performance (BA Hons) degree programme from the School of Creative Arts, Wrexham Glyndŵr University, present an adaptation of Complicitie’s The Street of Crocodiles.
Inspired by the life and stories of Polish writer Bruno Schulz (1892 – 1942), the production creates a vision of provincial Poland in the early part of the century as a restless ocean of unending flux, giving life to Schutz’s stories as a piece of vividly imaginative theatre. In this ensemble production physicality, music, text, object manipulation and images are used to create a dance of memory and an endless shifting mirage, where people become birds and books fly through the air.
