    Camp Lo

In February 1996, a timeless classic, in the form of ‘Luchini AKA This Is It’ saw the light of day. Prior to that, their single ‘Coolie High’ was included on ‘The Great White Hype’ soundtrack that same year. Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede released their classic debut album ‘Uptown Saturday Night’ 20 years ago, including ‘Luchini’, ‘Swing’ and ‘Black Nostaljack’ amongst other classic songs.

They featured on Will Smith’s ‘Big Willy Style’ on ‘Yes Yes Y’all’ that same year.

In 2011 the duo teamed up with legendary hip hop producer Pete Rock to form a new project called ’80 Blocks From Tiffany’s’.
While Camp Lo have been known to not add too many guest appearances to their Camp Lo albums, their second part of 80 Blocks From Tiffany’s features hip hop heavy weights such as M.O.P., Ab Soul, Mac Miller, Talib Kweli, Tyler Woods and Uncle Murda.

More recently the duo teamed up with the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. on ‘Money Dance’ with Rick Ross and Mack Wilds. They’re currently working on more material with the production duo from Florida.

Two year after their 2015 studio album ‘Ragtime, Hightimes’, the group released “The Get Down Brothers” in October of this year. The new album proves hat Geechi Suede and Sonny Cheeba are at witty as ever with clever wordplay, intricate flows and content, while also keeping up with today’s music climate without selling themselves short.

In the build up to ‘The Get Down Brothers’, the group released a trilogy in 2017 called ‘Piece Of The Action’, which includes a bunch of old and new / unreleased songs from their catalog and features the likes of De La Soul, Pete Rock, Styles P, Aesop Rock, Will Smith among many others.

Earlier this year ‘On The Way Uptown’ was released and the project includes demo’s and pre Uptown Saturday Night cuts recorded in 1994 / 1995.
