Broken Nose is a six piece band from the depths of South Wales. Their music incorporates a mixture of styles including Punk/Hardcore, Ska, Reggae and Hip-hop which come together to form a unique and eclectic sound. Although the band formed way back in 2003, it is the release of their debut full-length album ‘No Compromise’ that has earned them the moniker, ‘The New Face of Skacore’.
Since the band’s formation, Broken Nose have supported some of the circuit’s biggest names, such
as The King Blues, Big D and the Kids Table, Sonic Boom 6, Fishbone, Streetlight Manifesto and Adequate Seven, to name a few. Despite being veterans of the South Wales scene, on a national scale Broken Nose remained under the radar for over six years, while they honed their songwriting and performance skills.
The band released several EPs over the years, but it wasn’t until the completion of their debut
album ‘No Compromise’ in 2010, that they finally reached the sound that they had been striving for. ‘No Compromise’ was entirely self-produced, which gave the band the opportunity to work relentlessly; painstakingly listening to each detail in order to create a unique, genre-defying album, which has received widespread critical acclaim from journalists and fans alike.
Since the release of ‘No Compromise’, Broken Nose is beginning to get the recognition that the band have been working for all these years. The band began regularly appearing on some impressive line-ups around the UK and has dates lined-up supporting bands such as Capdown, The Slackers, The Aggrolites and Voodoo Glow Skulls.
