PLUS SPECIAL GUESTS B*WITCHED AND MEGAN MCKENNA

One of the UK’s most exciting and successful boy bands are back! To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Blue have announced today their Heart & Soul Tour. Blue will play 14 arena shows around the UK and tickets go on sale this Friday at 9am. Blue will be joined on tour by Atomic Kitten, who will be very special guests at every date. Tickets can be purchased from www.officialblue.com.

The announcement for the Heart & Soul Tour comes 20 years to the week that Blue released their smash hit #1 debut album, All Rise. The album which was released 20 years ago this week, went on to sell over 1.4 million copies in the UK alone and was certified 4x Platinum. The tour sees all four original members – Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe – reunite for a fun-filled epic show. The concert will feature all the band’s hits from their 5 albums as well as some incredible surprises. The tour also marks the first time that the Atomic Kitten line up of Jenny Frost, Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton will perform together in over a decade.

Speaking of the tour, Blue added: “We can’t believe it’s been 20 years since All Rise, our debut album, was released. It’s been quite the ride since then and now we have so much to look forward to as we go into our third decade! We had a lot of time in lock down to reconnect as friends and we started thinking how we could celebrate the anniversary. The four of us started working on new music and it felt so good to be back doing what we love again. This time off during the pandemic also made us realise how much we missed performing live. We can’t wait to get back on the road and see all of you at our Heart & Soul Tour. We have been planning this tour for a while and we promise you, we’ll be putting on the best show and making it a celebratory night you won’t forget! We have some surprises up our sleeve for the 20th anniversary so stay tuned, 2022 is going to be a big one!”

Blue are one of the most successful British bands and have sold over 16 million albums worldwide including 3.6 million albums and 1.4 million singles in the UK. Their first 3 albums all topped the Official Album Chart and the group have worked with a variety of legends including Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Lil’ Kim. The British four-piece have recently begun work on new music, with announcements to come.

Irish girl group B*Witched are the second act to be confirmed as special guests for Blue’s Heart & Soul UK arena tour this December.

Consisting of twin sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinead O'Carroll, the group enjoyed success throughout Europe, Asia, Australasia and North America.

Their first single C’est La Vie shot to the top of the charts. Their follow up singles Rollercoaster, Blame It On The Weatherman and To You I Belong also reached number 1, selling over 5 million albums along the way and was Top Ten in the USA

B*Witched said, “We are so excited to announce that we will be joining Blue on their Heart & Soul arena tour in December 2022. We have been wanting to tour together for some time now after nicknaming ourselves Bluwitched several years ago and are thrilled it is finally happening.

We’ve known the guys for so long and have always loved their energy and their approach, so we know this is going to be a mega show. We will be bringing our hits of course but expect some surprises too including a brand new single! We want to put on an amazing show and can’t wait to see all the fans and some new faces too. What better way to end the year!”

Blue added, “We are really excited to be teaming up with the girls from B*Witched on our UK tour. We had great fun touring Australia and New Zealand with the girls a few years ago and we are looking forward to round two!”.

The original B*Witched line up reunited for the big reunion tour alongside Blue among others. Ever since the girl group have been wowing audiences with their sensational live shows and staring in their own podcast which launched in 2021.

The tour kicks off on Sunday 4th December in Cardiff and runs through 12 dates ending on December 20th in Newcastle. The tour includes a date at London’s iconic 02 Arena.

Blue - Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe - have been back together in the studio working on one of their best records yet. The brand-new studio album, titled Heart & Soul.

Megan McKenna is the other special guest joining Blue on tour. First and foremost a singer-songwriter, Megan’s journey to music has been slightly more unconventional than most.

After starting her career as an English television personality, Megan left this all behind to pursue her deeper passion – music. Inspired by her deep-rooted love for all things country, the first step in Megan’s musical journey saw her travelling to Nashville to experience first-hand the music she’d always loved, documenting her travels for the public in a three-part ITV series. This was the first time the public properly heard Megan’s unique, powerful voice. Her performances drew rave reviews and led to her releasing her debut country album Story of Me.

McKenna has supported Tom Jones on his Summer tour and performed on the main stage at the Isle Of Wight festival.
