Ash Before Oak are an English pop group based in Northwich, Cheshire.
They released their first single, You Make Me Me, in September 2009. The single was recorded in an attic above a garage with little more than an Apple Mac and a 4 Track recorder. However, the single still managed to get airplay on several BBC radio stations from the strength of the songwriting and received praise from Mark Radcliffe amongst others.
In September 2010, they released the first single from the upcoming EP. A Girl Like You quickly became their most popular single to date and was the first song by the band to be accompanied by a music video. The song was also featured in Si Wall's film 'Speed Date'. Don't Dally Sally was released in December 2010 alongside a music video which featured cardboard houses, gigantic robots and explosions!
Ash Before Oak released their debut EP, Lifetime, in August 2011 and have just completed work on a soundtrack for an upcoming indie film Henry IV part 2.
