Few bands have impacted the UK alternative scene quite like As It Is.
Over the past decade, they’ve not only perfected the nation’s distinctively despondent blend of pop-punk and emo, but also pushed its boundaries—reflecting the very essence of what makes this subculture resonate. Even during their hiatus, their influence echoed through the foundations of the alternative community.
Now reunited in their classic lineup Patty Walters, Ben Biss, Patrick Foley, and Ali Testo, As It Is have released a fully re-recorded edition of their seminal debut album, Never Happy, Ever After. This definitive version is a powerful tribute to the band’s enduring legacy and its deep-rooted connection with alternative scenes worldwide.
The reimagined album features a stellar lineup of guest artists from across generations of the pop-punk and emo world, including Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens), Lucas Woodland (Holding Absence), Brownsound (Sum 41), Tobi Duncan (Trash Boat), Mikaila Delgado (Yours Truly), NOAHFINNCE, and many more.
The band’s much-anticipated return to the stage begins at Slam Dunk Festival 2025, followed by a UK and US headline tour where they’ll perform Never Happy... in full, alongside fan favourites—and perhaps a few surprises.
As It Is are back bolder, better, and ready to reclaim their spotlight.
