BARRY PURVES
Barry is is an OSCAR and BAFTA nominated Animator and Director, passionate about the art of film-making.
As well as his film work, he directs and designs for theatre and writes about, teaches and promotes the art of animation. His work is acclaimed internationally and has won more than 60 awards, including a lifetime achievement award from Manchester Animation Festival, presented on BBC Breakfast in 2018. His feature film animation work includes Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks!, Peter Jackon’s King Kong, and for television, he has worked with Cosgrove Hall Films, Mackinnon and Saunders on projects including The Wind in the Willows, Chorlton & The Wheelies, Postman Pat and Twirlywoos.
