With a rich history behind them, with a list of top ten hits throughout the nineties including ‘Bodyshakin’, ‘Private Number’ and ‘A little bit more’ there’s an exciting new chapter ahead for 911.
Having formed in 1995, building a following from scratch performing in schools and small public venues, the band independently reached the top 40 with two independent releases, following this 911 won GMTV’s “search for the next big thing” and were signed to Virgin Records in 1996 after a major label bidding war. The band were also voted second in Smash Hits Magazine’s best newcomer, behind Spice Girls in that year, selling in total over six million singles and ten million albums worldwide prior to their split in 2000.
Fastforward to 2016, and with a new single due for release later in the year on All Around The World Records (Universal), and a new album shortly to follow, with one of the new tracks achieving a rapid YouTube success racking up in excess of two million views. There’ll be plenty more Bodyshakin’.
