Thomas Lang releases his latest album, “The German Alphabet” through Klee Music, a subsidiary of the world famous Liverpool Probe-Plus Records, on Monday 26th September 2016. This will be his first release since 2014’s “Torch”. This collection of new material is the result of his collaboration over the last 12 months with the production team of Colin Mackay and Alan Currie, and recorded at the world famous Parr Street Studio and The Vale Studio in Liverpool.
The album has been described as
“… a lush symphonic 60's pop cafe jazz rat pack early Scott walker affair , packed with John Barry string flourishes and Ennio Morricone horn fanfares, coated in Bacharach-esque melodies. Tom’s voice sounds better than ever! ”
To support this release, Thomas takes to the stage with his acclaimed group of musicians, comprising of John Wheatcroft (guitars), Paul Thomas (saxophone and flute), Vicky Edwards (Bass), Glen Lewis (Piano) and Jake Woodward (drums and percussion). This ensemble will perform a selection of material embracing Thomas’ previous releases of Scallywag Jaz, Little Moscow, The Lost letter Z, Version and Torch.
