Originally a personal project of Jon-Lee Martin's, Then Thickens exploded into the noisy fivesome standing before us in 2011. Their debut album 'Death Cap At Anglezarke' was released in May 2014 to critical acclaim, with lead single 'Tiny Legs' featuring Joe Gilgun (This Is England, Misfits) in the accompanying video. The band received national airplay for 'Tiny Legs' along with singles 'Restart Your Heart' and 'Worms'.
Support slots with Biffy Clyro, Echo & The Bunnymen, Mariachi El Bronx & The Computers have followed, with Simon Neil (Biffy) championing the band's 'dirgey pop' in the NME.
Second album 'Colic' was released in October 2015, with singles 'My Amsterdam' and 'My Sunday' receiving national press.
Then Thickens are currently writing and recording their 3rd album.
