By Marcus Vergetter | A Fogou Media Presentation

INSPIRED by the painting by Titian "The Flaying Of Marsyas", the music tells the story of the greek myth behind the painting; a shepherd boy who finds a flute thrown away by Athena, is challenged to a musical dual with Apollo that and ends in the usual way of a Greek tragedy.
This is a unique piece with many facets - chamber jazz with a kaleidoscopic story.
This piece was first premiered on Radio 3 in the 90's. It has been revived
with a new line-up featuring: Roz Harding - alto sax Janna Bulmer - celloLucy Welsman - celloTom Unwin - piano Marcus Vergette - bass
