The Handle Bards Tickets

The world’s first cycling theatre company, The HandleBards, pedal from venue to venue with all the set, props and costume necessary to perform environmentally sustainable Shakespeare across the globe. Join their all-female troupe in the beautiful Hoghton Tower for a bicycle-powered production of Shakespeare’s ‘As You Like It’ like none other.
In usual HandleBards style, expect riotous amounts of energy, a fair old whack of chaos, and a great deal of laughter.
And what’s the play about? Well – Rosalind and Orlando have been forced into exile in the Forest of Arden. As lovers, they become entangled in a bizarre game of lust, love and mistaken identity.

Useful information:
– The show is outside in the Wilderness Garden. Bring blankets or low back camping chairs. If sunny, insect spray might be useful! Snacks and warm drinks available throughout the show.
– Show length: Approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes plus a 15 minute interval (the actors will also stay
around after the show to answer any questions).
– Age suitability: Suitable for all ages, but recommended for ages 5+.
