Veteran rocker Steve Gibbons, in the company of Fairport Convention’s legendary rhythm section - Gerry Conway (drums) and Dave Pegg (bass) - join Phil Bond (piano, organ, accordion) and PJ Wright’s pedal steel and slide guitars to create an evening of Bob’s songs, artfully arranged and played by world-class musicians who now celebrate seventeen years of the Dylan Project.
Their repertoire spans the whole half-century of Dylan's work – from “Don’t think Twice” and others from the Freewheelin’ album - through to such highlights of his later-flowering career as “Cold Irons Bound” and “Mississippi.” Even Bob's fallow periods yield unexpected gems but Dylan’s mid-sixties golden period is fully and lovingly represented.
