They’ve spun with the likes of Giles Peterson, hosted unforgettable sessions with Motor City Drum Ensemble and Leatherette, and have already been compared to bona-fide clubbing institutions Electric Chair, Friends And Family and Keep It Unreal. Tonight we open up Band on the Wall’s dancefloor for what could be their biggest and best night yet, featuring Volcov, Danuka, Yadava & Baloo.
Passionate music digger known for his impeccable taste in soul, funk, disco and deep house music, Volcov is also the founder of more than one record label. In fact in 1998 he co-founded Archive records with the Dipiù company, where he explored the futuristic and more electronic side of the so called broken beat sound, still keeping it quite eclectic and futuristic. For the label he signed artists like Dego, Theo Parrish, Phil Asher, Domu, Nubian Mindz, Modaji, various Bugz members, Nu Era, King Britt and many others.
