Celtic super-group Runrig have finally announced plans for their 40th Anniversary celebrations next summer. The main event will take the form of a weekend party at the Black Isle Showground, Muir Of Ord, near Inverness.
The 'Party On The Moor' festivities will be celebrated by a massive outdoor concert on Saturday August 10. Fans wanting to stay the weekend can also arrive on Friday August 9, with a ceilidh in the Grand Barn and the Black Isle Showground will become a campsite and concert venue for the weekend.
On Saturday August 10, the six-piece will perform to a capacity crowd of 25,000 fans with camping also available for the Saturday night.

RUNRIG ANNOUNCES SUPPORT ACTS FOR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
Runrig have announced the support acts for their upcoming 40th Anniversary concert.
The six-piece band, who chose to celebrate their significant milestone ‘at home' in the Highlands, will be joined by Irish artist Sharon Corr and Celtic band, Mànran, for the concert which forms part of ‘Party on the Moor', a two-day event at the Black Isle Showground, Muir of Ord, near Inverness in August.
Runrig have also chosen Glasgow-based folk rock act Washington Irving and Highland-based bands Scooty and the Skyhooks and Gizzen Briggs to join the Celtic showcase on Saturday 10 August 2013.
