Formed back in 2006, London-based five-piece Rise To Remain have had a pretty exciting journey thus far.
Having already supported the likes of Trivium and Funeral For A Friend, performed as an opening act for Iron Maiden on the Singapore and Indonesian leg of their world tour and appeared with such bands as Sevendust, Stone Sour and Queens Of The Stone Age at the Australian Soundwave Festival, it’s safe to say assume that their future will indeed be full of yet more exciting and awesome ventures.
The band’s 6 track EP ‘Bridges Will Burn’, released last year, certainly brought them significant attention, with many labelling it the first step in their ascent to becoming the future of the UK metal scene.
They even went on to win the Metal Hammer Golden God Award for “Best New Band”, an award that was voted for by over 400,000 people across the globe and “Best British Newcomer” at the Kerrang! Awards 2010. Therefore, with the quintet about to unleash their debut album, it’s no wonder they were recently snatched up by EMI Records.
