    Rhino's Revenge

    Rhino's Revenge

In a rare break from his day job as the bass player with rock legends Status Quo, John ‘Rhino’ Edwards will tour the UK and Europe again in 2016 with his side band Rhino’s Revenge.

Featuring his son Freddie on guitar and nephew Billy on drums, the band’s line-up is completed by multi-instrumentalist Matthew Starritt on guitar, backing vocals and harmonica.

The tour will support the arrival of the second Rhino’s Revenge album, 15 years after the band’s debut was released by Eagle Records. "Rhino's Revenge 2" is to be released on Friday 23rd October 2015. The album was officially launched with a sold out gig at London's iconic 100 Club in March 2015.

“By any standards, that’s a long time between albums,” says Rhino, “but when you’re fortunate enough to be in a band like Quo, you’d don’t get too much spare time!”

Having previously been a member of The Climax Blues Band and Dexy's Midnight Runners, Rhino was invited to join Quo in 1985 and has been permanent in the line-up ever since with career highlights including co-headlining the Download Festival in 2014, being awarded with the Outstanding Contribution to Music award at the 1991 Brit Awards and entering the Guinness Book of Records after playing 4 shows in the UK in 11 hours and 11 minutes!
