Vels trio hail from the shores of Brighton; the three members met through a shared love of jazz, progressive music and that feeling you get when in a deep groove.
They combine a plethora of styles, structures and rhythms in a bid to transcend preconceived notions made with regards to jazz and other more obscure genres. The trio have once been coined as ‘stealth jazz’ as they have the ability to make a crowd dance away and not even realise they’re listening to jazz, subtly converting the crowd. Equally many jazz fans have felt that Vels trio provide a fresh sound and a modern perspective on the jazz scene. These three have an ever-expanding repertoire, having recently performing their own rendition of the Blue Note classic, Madlib's 'Shades Of Blue'. Their focus, however, remains on their own scintillaing original compositions. They are sure to hold nothing back once on the stage!

We are also delighted to welcome Stroud's very own Barney Whittaker (aka Footshooter), now also based in Brighton, who will be on the 1s and 2s til late.

Can't wait for this one!!
