ALTITUDE FESTIVAL XMAS 2016 11th-17th December 2016
After the phenomenal success of our 10th anniversary festival in January 2016 we've been invited back - for the first time in Altitude history we will be getting festive in Austria this December.
If you?re a seasoned skier or boarder and worried about the snow?IT?S SNOW PROBLEM!
Altitude is putting on FREE regular buses for festival-goers to Austria?s only year-round ski resort, The Hintertux Glacier, which is just up the road. As well as astonishing views and amazing restaurants, the Hintertux Glacier offers winter sports enthusiasts perfect, snow-sure runs 365 days of the year and over 60km of runs suitable for all levels from beginner to pro.
We are still finalizing negotiations for discounted day ski passes for Altitude-goers to join us at any Hintertux events, so we will announce information on this as soon as its confirmed. If you know that you are likely to want to head to the glacier daily then we can recommend the Super-Ski pass which allows unlimited access to all Zillertal slopes More information here
At Altitude HQ we are always thinking of exciting new events for our veterans as well as the newbies. With a wider variety of entertainment on offer we've jam packed all that comedy talent into 2 huge galas. New venues are getting on board - meaning you could be watching comedy up a mountain or in a dairy! Watch this space! We are also planning more activities around Mayrhofen for our non-skiing clientele.
The Altitude Festival also intends to top the week off with a spectacular Festival of Light - lighting up the town of Mayrhofen with incredible illuminations, with some free Gluvine and Austrian snacks to warm your cockles.
And last but not least, it’s Christmas and it wouldn’t be Christmas without Mayrhofen laying on the best Austrian Christmas Market in the nearby enchanted forest.
