ONE OF THESE DAYS, A FESTIVAL OF FESTIVALS,
16 OF THE WORLD’S BEST FESTIVALS,
OVER 150 OF THE HOTTESTS BANDS, ARTISTS AND DJS.
ALL UNDER ONE ROOF AT THE LEGENDARY BLACKPOOL WINTER GARDENS!
One of These Days is a brand new music festival taking place at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th December 2012. Over two days, 16 of the most exciting festivals and promoters from Europe and the USA will be bringing their unique tastes and styles to Blackpool, hosting six venues under the one roof of the Winter Gardens complex. From the ornate surroundings of the 3,500-capacity Empress Ballroom to the medieval splendour of the intimate 300-capacity Baronial Hall, each space will feature an exclusively curated line-up of the best in new indie and cutting-edge dance music.
One of These Days 2012 will be curated by festivals such as Melt!, Eden Sessions, The Warehouse Project, Field Day, Oya, End of the Road and more, promoters such as Now Wave and label showcases from the likes of DFA, amongst many others. In the last year alone, artists showcased at these events have included Kanye West, The Cure, Pulp, Aphex Twin and Leftfield, and the inaugural One of These Days will see each host bring a flavour of what makes their events so special to their space at the Winter Gardens.
The Emerging Talent strand of the festival will feature some of the best local and national unsigned and under-the-radar talent. Programmed by a panel including 6 Music, Radio 2, XFM and The Quietus, Emerging Talent will be your chance to catch the sort of acts to headline festivals in years to come in one place, before anyone else.
Outside of our music arenas, art installations from a host of national and international artists will be featured throughout the Winter Gardens, reflecting Blackpool’s culture and history through sculpture, design and film. And when it’s time to kick back and take a break from the festival’s extensive music and art line-up, our Winter Market is on hand with a huge range of stalls from world-renowned record stores and clothes boutiques, as well as fully licensed bars, cafes and restaurants selling meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day and night.
This December, we’re excited to make Blackpool our home and host an enviable collection of bands, DJs and artists in the city for the first time. Join us for what promises to be a special weekend, bringing together the best festivals, promoters and labels from the UK, Europe and America all under one roof, for an exclusive and one-of-a-kind new music festival.
