The Conference

The conference will take place at the Central Methodist Hall.

During the day at Methodist Central Buildings, Sound City and Louder Than War will curate a music conference featuring the guard of the new music industry – label and publishing, A&R, bloggers and promoters, who inspire those starting out in the industry.

With the relentless day to day of online communication, there has never been a more important time to meet face to face. Off the Record conference is aimed at people who have been to many music industry conferences and those who have never been to any at all, and who are curious about finding new ways to do things and people to do them with.

The first wave of confirmed speakers and their area of expertise can now be announced and so far features sessions including ‘Summer of Love’ which looks at what festivals are really looking for when booking new artists and will feature Andy Smith - Kendal Calling & Bluedot, Rebecca Ayres - Sound City, Craig Pennington - Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia, Yaw Owusu - Liverpool International Music Festival.

‘How To Be Heard Over The Noize!’ will include key influencers from radio stations, print and online magazines sharing their tips on how to get in the ear of the people with the power to get you heard with John Robb - Louder Than War, Elena Jimenez - Popped Music and Craig Pennington - Bido Lito.
