THE HOLD STEADY ANNOUNCE BRISTOL SHOW

Acclaimed US rockers, The Hold Steady are to headline the Bristol Anson Rooms On 4th October 2008.

After being lined up for this year’s sold out V Festival, The Hold Steady are set to play a far more intimate venue as part of their UK Tour. The Brooklyn based band will hit the road with their new album 'Stay Positive' which has received rave reviews from across the media.

Lead singer Craig Finn believes this, their 4th studio album, “captures a band hitting their creative peak, as well as enjoying each other's creativity and company” as they stick to a riff - heavy mix of classic rock and straightforward storytelling lyrics.

They have won over fans as diverse as Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe and Bruce Springsteen (who joined Finn on stage in 2007 at a Springsteen Tribute gig in New York). Says Finn, "We keep alive by keeping on the road. That’s my main aim with this album, to keep that momentum up."
