Specialising in bass, house, garage and electronica, Metropolis is one of the UK’s most innovative and forward-thinking promoters, continually pushing boundaries and breaking the rulebook to offer an unrivalled music experience like never before.
Established over 12 years ago, Metropolis has worked from the offset with many of the industry’s leading figures including bass heavyweights Chase & Status, Skrillex, Sub Focus and Pendulum, highly acclaimed producers such as SBTRKT, Groove Armada and Route 94, through to chart topping stars like Katy B, Dizzee Rascal and Tinie Tempah. In addition to its strong network of loyal artists, Metropolis has over the years built up very close relationships with various venues, festivals and other partners to bring a constantly evolving variety of events to the table.
2012 saw an epic ‘10 Years of Metropolis’ show at the Warehouse Project celebrating a decade of events and this year will see Metropolis for the first time in its history host the acclaimed Main Stage at DJ Mag’s Best of British ‘Best Festival’ 2013, GlobalGathering, with very special performances by Chase & Status, Tinie Tempah, Katy B and lots more. 2014 will also see Metropolis return to Snowbombing, Parklife and Hideout for what’s set to be another unmissable season of arena hosting around the world. In addition, Metropolis is gearing up for another big birthday show later this year as the Warehouse Project plays host to its forthcoming 12th year in the business.
Metropolis’ global domination doesn’t, however, deter it from its Northern roots. Seen as one of the North’s most influential and sought after electronic club nights, it has built up a loyal crowd of supporters over the years in its home town of Manchester and other key clubbing cities such as Leeds and Newcastle. It’s this commitment to its roots, coupled with exploration of the new, that has firmly cemented Metropolis as a true industry leader in the electronic club scene for many years to come.
