    Longy

“Will LONGY be the next Rolling Stones?” - The Telegraph

Appearing out of nowhere at the end of 2013, anonymous busker LONGY has
whipped up a frenzy of rumour, intrigue and praise in equal measure. From being awarded
Demo of the Year (XFM London) for his selfreleased
debut EP, to filling Hoxton Square Bar &
Kitchen on a Tuesday night during the tube strike and even convincing the cream of the
British press that he’s headlining Glastonbury, all without putting a single song online, LONGY
knows how to get people talking.

With his army of fans growing and wild rumours circling in the British press as to
LONGY's real identity, 2014 has been an explosive year. Summer saw him perform a string
of blistering festival performances, including Secret Garden Party and a mainstage
performance at Village Green Festival, where LONGY brought on a marching drum band and
    a 25piece gospel choir.

    Continuing his playful and peoplecentric
    campaign, LONGY’s hotlyanticipated followup
EP was released over a period of five weeks, with a different track hidden on a CD
in five different UK cities with only cryptic tweets to guide fans to the locations. Each track
was found in under two hours. The EP was only made available once all the tracks had been
found, making ‘Trash Talkin Filthy Love’ the world’s first ever fanreleased record! In November, LONGY and his trumpettoting
sidekick The Feralchild found their way to New York, playing at some of Brooklyn’s bestloved dive bars and a packed out gig at
Rockwood Music Hall in Manhattan. Returning home a few days later to a soldout headline show at Chinnerys in their native Southend. With such an inventive campaign and with more new material due early in 2015, Longy is definitely one to keep an eye on.
