Stalwart of the Transatlantic Sessions & seen recently playing with Mike McGoldrick & John McCusker, John Doyle is widely regarded as Irish music's greatest guitarist. His repertoire encompasses material from Irish, English & US traditions, and his singing is accompanied by the unique, stunningly rhythmic guitar style that he has pioneered - often copied but never equalled. 

John is unusual amongst Irish players in that he is also an admirer of English folk guitarists and the influence of players such as Martin Carthy & Nic Jones is also to be heard in his style.
