Forest Live Terms & Conditions and Group Booking Policy 2015

1. This event will continue regardless of weather except in the case of extreme weather conditions affecting the venue.

2. Tickets will only be refunded if the event is cancelled by the organiser and as long as the ticket is returned within 28 days of the due concert date. The booking fee is not refundable under any circumstances.

3. Please take care of tickets as duplicates cannot be issued under any circumstances.

4. Seating is not provided in the arena - folding chairs are permitted.

5. Umbrellas, tables, glass bottles, cans, non-plastic containers and non-plastic cutlery and crockery are not permitted. No more than 2 litres soft/ alcoholic drink per person. No spirits.

6. Naked flames including fireworks, BBQs and sparklers are strictly prohibited. Smoking cigarettes is permitted, please be considerate of others.

7. Laser pens, flags, banners, poles, parasols, gazebos, tents and dogs (apart from registered assistance dogs) are not permitted.

8. The Forestry Commission reserve the right to search all persons and all personal property and to prohibit any other items considered to be a potential hazard.

9. Photographic equipment with detachable lenses, tripods and audio visual or video equipment are not permitted in the arena.

10. No access to under 16s unless accompanied by a parent/guardian (18 or over). Children aged 5 and under do not require a ticket. Under 16s must be supervised at a maximum ratio of 1 adult to 8 children. The Forestry Commission may refuse entry without valid proof of age.

11. The Forestry Commission will not be responsible for damage or injury caused or that caused by third parties or for loss of personal property on site or left in vehicles.

12. Any person who fails or refuses to comply with instructions from any steward or other persons acting for the Forestry Commission may be removed from the venue and surrounding Forestry Commission land.

13. The Forestry Commission reserves the right to refuse admission. No person considered drunk or under the influence of drugs will be admitted.

14. Ticket holders consent to recording, filming, CCTV and photography that may be used for promotional purposes, by artists as a live product or for security purposes.

15. Any customer purchasing over 8 tickets* must adhere to the group booking policy (see below). Tickets are not permitted for resale in the course of business or for a profit. Purchases suspected of being made with the intention of resale for profit will be cancelled.

16. The Forestry Commission reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.

17. The purchase and use of this ticket shall constitute an acceptance of these conditions by the purchaser and holder.

Group bookings (over eight tickets):
*Please note: Group bookings are NOT permitted for the Sam Smith event at High Lodge, as there is a maximum purchase limit of four tickets per person for this event.

We operate a group booking policy aimed at protecting potential customers from ticket touting, ticket scams and re-selling of tickets at an inflated price.

Purchases of up to eight tickets can be made on our internet sales pages. The purchase of over eight tickets constitutes a group booking (even if purchased in separate transactions). As part of this policy, we ask customers booking nine or more tickets to sign a disclaimer regarding the use of their tickets. This is designed to prevent purchase by parties intending to re-sell the tickets for profit (prohibited in point 15 of our Terms and Conditions).

We reserve the right to contact any customer to discuss their purchase and ensure that our booking policy and terms and conditions are adhered to.

We are unable to offer any group discounts.

McBusted announce Forestry Commission concert

McBusted have announced a West Country date as part of Forest Live, organised by the Forestry Commission, where acts perform in spectacular woodland locations around the country. The band will be the sixth and final headline act to appear at Westonbirt Arboretum this summer.

McBusted formed in 2013 when Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd from McFly joining forces with James Bourne and Matt Willis from Busted. Together Busted and McFly have sold over 15 million records worldwide and chalked up 14 number ones, 20 top 3 singles and 27 top ten singles. The popularity of the new supergroup was reflected in them playing the UK’s largest arena tour of 2014, to a staggering 350,000 people across 35 sold out shows culminating with headlining in London’s Hyde Park. Their unique Forest Live date at Westonbirt will see the band perform a powerhouse of hits such as: ‘Five Colours In Her Hair’, ‘Obviously’, ‘All About You’, ‘What I Go To School For’, ‘You Said No’ and ‘Crashed the Wedding’.

Spandau Ballet West Country Woodland concert announced

Spandau Ballet has announced a West Country woodland concert this summer as part of the Forestry Commission’s Forest Live music series.

Spandau Ballet is one of Britain’s most iconic bands having sold over 25 million records and scored numerous multi-platinum albums across the globe. The New Romantic revolutionaries established themselves as one of the super-groups of the 80s with a collection of classic hits such as: ‘To Cut A Long Story Short’, ‘Chant No. 1 (I Don’t Need This Pressure On)’, ‘Lifeline’, ‘Gold’, ‘Only When You Leave’, ‘I’ll Fly For You’, ‘Through The Barricades’ and ‘True’. After two decades apart, the band reformed in 2009, embarking on a sold-out tour. Last year saw the critically acclaimed release of the movie ‘Soul Boys of The Western World’, the first time their story has been documented on film.

The Vamps announce Forest Live summer dates

The Vamps is the latest act announced as part of Forest Live, the summer music series organised by the Forestry Commission.

The Vamps formed when the band members found one another via their respective YouTube channels. Subsequently they amassed a serious online following through social media with the upload of a series of punkish, acoustic-driven covers of chart-conquering pop hits. They’ve now had 230 million total YouTube and Vevo views as well as sold out arena tours. Last year their meteoric rise to fame was confirmed with sold out tour dates and the release of their debut album ‘Meet The Vamps’, a collection of pop-party anthems such as: ‘Can We Dance’, ‘Last Night’, ‘Wild Heart’, ‘Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart)’ and ‘Somebody To You’. The Vamps are: Brad Simpson (lead vocals and guitar), James McVey (lead guitar and vocals), Connor Ball (bass guitar and vocals) and Tristan Evans (drums and vocals).

Robert Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters woodland concerts announced

Robert Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters have announced two special dates as part of Forest Live, the summer concert series promoted by the Forestry Commission.

After nearly 50-years in music, Plant, continues to surprise and challenge his audience with music that is smart, exciting, and completely of the moment. His incredible legacy as the front man of Led Zeppelin and as a solo artist, only serves to keep pushing him forward. Returning to his native England after an extended sojourn in America, last year saw the release of his 10th ‘solo’ album, ‘lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar’, his latest project recorded with The Sensational Space Shifters. The album received worldwide acclaim for its contemporary song-writing and brilliant musicianship. Following a recent sell-out tour of indoor venues, fans can look forward to an exceptional live show which will include tracks from the 2014 album as well as new interpretations of Led Zeppelin classics and other solo material from a long and very successful career.

James forest gig announced

James has announced a summer date as part of the Forestry Commission’s annual Forest Live concert series. In what will be a ‘home’ forest gig for the band, they are the third and final headline act performing in Delamere Forest, Cheshire, this July.

Since forming in Manchester in 1982, James's enduring creativity and musical legacy has made them one of the most influential British indie bands. Amongst 20 Top 40 singles in the UK, James’ anthemic hits include: ‘Sit Down’, ‘She’s A Star’, ‘Laid’, ‘Born Of Frustration’, ‘Sometimes’ and ‘Getting Away With It (All Messed Up)’. Paloma Faith announces Forest Live tour

Paloma Faith has announced a welcome return to seven spectacular woodland locations this summer as part of Forest Live, the Forestry Commission’s outdoor concert series, having performed to sell-out crowds in 2013.

Paloma’s third album ‘A Perfect Contradiction’ was one of the huge success stories of 2014 and her fastest selling album to date, certified platinum and scoring hit singles with, ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’ and ‘Can’t Rely On You’. As a side project she notched up her first number one collaborating with British drum and bass duo Sigma on the single ‘Changing’. Debut album ‘Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful?’ and follow-up ‘Fall To Grace’ have also contributed to sales of over 1.7 million in the UK alone; no mean feat for an artist only three records into their career.

Tom Odell announces Forestry Commission gigs

Tom Odell has announced a very special tour of the nation’s forests for 2015. The exceptionally talented artist is the first act to announce multiple dates as part of Forestry Commission’s Forest Live which will see him perform in seven spectacular woodland venues across England.

Released in June 2013, Tom Odell’s debut album ‘Long Way Down’ shot straight to number one. He heard the news whilst performing on the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury that year. Described by The Telegraph as “utterly compelling”, singles from the album including ‘Can’t Pretend’, ‘Hold Me’ and the gargantuan ‘Another Love’ illustrate a song-writing maturity beyond his years. This has resulted in his achieving the ultimate industry accolade of ‘Songwriter of the Year’ at the 2014 Ivor Novello Awards as well as previously winning the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award for 2013. Following a succession of sold out headline tours and with ‘Long Way Down’ being certified gold, a packed summer of festival appearances in 2014 included V Festival, Isle of Wight and a show supporting one of his idols Neil Young at Hyde Park. Chosen to perform the soundtrack to this year’s John Lewis Christmas advert, the 24-year-old has added his spine-tingling vocals to a cover of John Lennon’s classic ‘Real Love’, generating millions of YouTube views. Tom is currently in the studio recording his new album.

Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott announce Forest Show

Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott have announced a Forest Live date for 2015. They are the first act confirmed to appear in Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire, as part of the annual summer music series organised by the Forestry Commission, where bands perform in unique woodland locations across England.

Paul and Jacqui’s 2014 album, ‘What Have We Become’, which reached number three in the UK charts, poignantly marked the 20th anniversary of their first album together, The Beautiful South’s ‘Miaow’. Equally significant, it reunited Paul with John Williams, the producer of his first album, The Housemartins’ ‘London 0 Hull 4’, and his first number one, 1986’s ‘Caravan Of Love’. The magic Heaton/Abbott vocal chemistry forever imbedded in such Beautiful South classics as ‘Rotterdam’, ‘Don’t Marry Her’ and ‘Perfect 10’ is recaptured on the critically acclaimed album, including singles ‘D.I.Y’, ‘Moulding Of A Fool’ and ‘When It Was Ours’, and in live performances with a succession of sold out indoor shows. The Script announce Forest gig!

The Script is the first act to be announced for Forest Live 2015; the annual summer music series organised by the Forestry Commission, where bands perform in unique woodland locations across England.

The Irish trio’s fourth album ‘No Sound Without Silence’ hit the top of the charts on its release and follows on from previous success with ‘#3’, 'Science & Faith' and their eponymous debut, all contributing to sales in excess of 20 million.
