Dom Newton Presents: Barrington Fanshawe - Man of God
Halloween Fancy Dress Ball at the Epstein Theatre Bar 8pm-3am.
Garage rock grows fangs this October as Liverpool cult figure Dom Newton takes to the stage for the ultimate Halloween bash. On 20th of October, in the decadent surroundings of the Epstein Theatre Bar, Dom will be premiering his latest creation – Barrington Fanshaw: Man of God.
Following on from the success of Dom’s previous events – the Horror Blues Halloween Ball and Malice in Wonderland – both featured full sets of songs created specifically for the night, as well as guest musicians and DJs and the latest endeavor is no exception. Offering the usual charismatic blend of story-telling through song with killer tunes, the event is part of this year’s Biennial Festival. The finest/only garage rock tragedy around Barrington Fanshaw: Man of God details the fall of a gay, Victorian, vampire-hunting vicar, and his battles against the evil Cuban bloodsucker El Diablo. While taking the listener on a journey through Fanshaws life and struggles, the songs and lyrics are all strong enough to stand alone, underpinned by Newton’s raw blues talent and searing vocals. Support from Psych Rockers The Wild Eyes With DJ Cambo Sexytimes on the decks until 3am.
