David Starkey's Magna Carta Huxley Lecture

David Starkey's Magna Carta Huxley Lecture

Historian David Starkey to deliver 2015 Huxley Lecture

Well-known historian and television presenter Dr David Starkey will deliver Prior’s Field’s annual founder’s lecture, on Tuesday 10 November 2015.

Dr Starkey will talk, at the Godalming based school for girls aged 11-18, on the subject of Magna Carta and its significance, before taking questions from the audience and signing copies of his most recent books. Tickets cost £14 and include drinks on arrival. Doors will open at 7pm and David Starkey will begin his talk at 7.30pm.

The historian will be the latest in a tradition of prominent speakers to deliver the school’s annual Huxley Lecture in memory of its pioneering founder, Julia Huxley. Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE last year enthralled an audience of over 700 with tales of a life lived at full tilt and, the year before, Dame Stella Rimington lifted the lid on her life as former Director General of MI5.
