From Camden Town
Mothership EP Out Now
A product of the Camden punk scene, Chelou is an unsigned 24-year-old songwriter and producer. Emerging towards the end of 2014 with his debut EP 'The Quiet', inspired by acts as diverse as PJ Harvey, Bon Iver, and James Blake, he quickly made a name for himself thanks to a host of strong support from the likes of Lauren Laverne and Tom Ravenscroft on BBC 6Music. Having collaborated with Maya Jane Coles on the track 'Believe' for her debut Nocturnal Sunshine album in 2015, Chelou has been gathering serious critical acclaim, from Clash to The Wall Street Journal whilst having his follow up ‘Mothership’ EP championed by Annie Mac & Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1. He has supported the likes of Bloc Party, Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore and performed at festivals from Paris to Seoul.
