THE TURNING hail from London and Derry and are due to make a 3rd appearance in Manchester at The Ruby Lounge on 16th January 2015. This is follows the recent release of their debut 9 track mini album ‘Settle For That’ (vinyl + 12 inch + CD) that is receiving rave reviews.
The Turning have created their own fusion of mod, punk, brit rock and blues to arrive at a unique sound all their own.
Clearly influenced by the best 60’s, 70’s & 90’s music they grew up listening to, The Turning live are simply fantastic, playing way beyond their teenage years, with the passion and fun of a punk band, but with the melodies and riffs of the 60’s.
They first won a lot of Manchester fans when they played support for their mates The Strypes last March on their headline UK tour. Since then The Turning have gone on to gigging and touring the UK, France, Belgium and Spain, to fill venues in London (Barfly and Borderline) and Sheffield (Leadmill) and Paris (La Mécanique Ondulatoire), and do TV and Radio, releasing singles and a mini album along the way.

Tonight they will have some special guests including troubadours extraordinaire Hester & Elmore who have busked their way across the capitals of Western Europe, to do their debut Manchester gig.
