The world-famous Black Butter Records proudly present their 3rd Birthday at the Oval Space on 8 June 2013.
Following an acclaimed US ‘hype envoy’ tour involving Rudimental, TEED, Kidnap Kid and AlunaGeorge at the beginning of the year, Black Butter have been clocking up hit after hit: two consecutive UK No.1s with Rudimental, Gorgon City crashing into the UK Dance Singles Top 10 with their debut track ‘Real’ and producer Woz remaining one of the most sought-after DJs on the underground circuit due to his classic grime remixes of Rudimental’s ‘Deep in the Valley’ and Maxsta’s ‘I Wanna Rock’.
It’s not all about the brothers though – Yasmin wowed with her recent collaboration with Gorgon City, getting Radio One play-listed and attracting all the right attention. A true talent to watch.
The cherry on the cake comes in the form of three very special guests whom BB are delighted to bring to the celebrations. Legendary KISS FM resident DJ EZ will come equipped with his usual party starting mix of fast paced bangers and garage anthems. We’re also lucky enough to have, flying over from San Fransisco, Dirtybird’s Justin Martin bringing his bass heavy house music to the party. Rounding things off is NYC’s M A N I K, coming from the Big Apple, with releases on Hot Creations & more to deliver his playful take on house, disco and everything in between.
