Originating from Manchester's early nineties music scene, Lou Rhodes and Rohan Heath unite as Kiiōtō. Initially brought together by a collaboration request, their creative synergy blossomed unexpectedly. Inspired by Rohan's jazz-infused piano and Lou's introspective period during lockdown, they embarked on a musical journey.
Their debut album, "As Dust We Rise," explores themes of loss, rebirth, migration, and emotional surges. Recorded both in their home studios and with producer Simon Byrt, the album features contributions from guest musicians, resulting in a warm, organic sound. Rooted in shared histories and a desire for exploration, Kiiōtō's debut represents a culmination of their musical journey.
